====== How to disable and enable a user ======

This setting can be utilised if you want to disable a user temporarily without deleting their settings and files. Later on, the user can be activated any time again, without data-loss.

It can be done by following through the below steps:

===== Disable a user =====

1. Log in as an admin.

2. Click on the top-right icon.

3. Select **[Users]** from the options.

4. Then, search for the intended user and click on {{:admin:option.png?30|}} icon. Next, select **[ ✘ Disable user ]**.

===== Enable a user =====

1. Follow the above step from **step 1 to step 3**.

2. After that, select **[Disable users]** from the left side options.

3. Then, search for the intended user and click on {{:admin:option.png?30|}} icon. Lastly, select **[ + Enable user ]**.
